The European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) has been in force since 28 June 2025. Romania has transposed it into national law with the fine and enforcement structure summarised below.
RON 6,000–15,000 (approx. €1,200–€3,000); RON 7,000–15,000 for specific interface/accessibility failures. Additional sanctions: product withdrawal, activity suspension.
